Yes, you can save a post. To do this, simply click on the "flag" button on the bottom left corner of the post. You can access all saved posts by clicking the "Saved" button in the filter.
Saving a post can be useful if you want to easily access it later without having to search for it. You can save any post, whether you wrote it or not.
